Equilibrium By Alexie Melchior

As a Certified Neurosomatic Specialist I am focused on the structural health of my patients, operating under the principle that form follows function. Meaning, a distortion in the body will lead to improper function and thus dysfunctional movement patterns. By approximating neutral body alignment with treatment that balances the soft tissues, we are able to help the body oppose gravity more efficiently. This allows the body to operate at its highest potential, preserving cellular energy and decreasing the symptoms that impact patient’s lives. Neurosomatic Therapy utilizes an 84-point measuring system to create a map of the bodies 3-dimensional standing, sitting, and supine (laying down) postures. Using this information, as well as the patients symptoms, we are able to get to the structural root cause of chronic pain conditions and dysfunctional movement patterns. The precise application of massage and bodywork techniques on soft tissues, such as skeletal muscles, tendons, nerves, organs, fascia, and so much more; is designed to lengthen shortened tissues and return the body to balance. Ask yourself, we align our cars, balance the foundation of our house, why do we not balance our bodies?
